Very quiet and peaceful for the most part. Certainly a place to relax and recharge. The room was spacious, clean and well-appointed. Staff, were friendly, responsive and very helpful (in particular, Leah, the Manager of Guest Services). Little extras like complimentary snacks in the room was a nice touch.

Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott, Maui, hotel in Wailea

Experience the beauty of Hawaii at the Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott, Maui, which offers spectacular views of the ocean and nearby islands, complete with luxurious accommodations in a peaceful and...

Room: If you really wanted to be picky there was a few worn down things in the room, TV Counter was missing a small part of the side, which was visible, when entering. Balcony also has bare wood showing at then end under some glass that you also saw with a critical eye, but if that kind of thing bugs you, then you'd notice. The rest about the room was great. Had a new smart TV as well, that was great for a family movie night. Pool: The pools where nice and didn't seems chloride filled like a lot of other places, we've tried, which was really nice. There are an 18+ pool with great views and good service, but it could be a bit hard to get a spot there. The 2 pools that are open to everyone are nice, but definitely doesn't feel as luxurious. They are still really nice though. The place did however have a lot of "reserved" seatting, which had to be payed for. Specific seats, couches and the 21+ serenity pool all had to be reserved and payed for. Some reservations costing up to 800usd a day. If you really want some high end luxurious options and don't mind spending the money for it these seatting are great, but we didn't feel the need to use them and still enjoyed it a lot. View: Views were 10/10. Saw whales jumping in the ocean every single day.

The two beds on lower level did not have fitted sheets...only flat sheets which kept coming off(untucked) each night. Only 1 roll of paper towels was provided, refrigerator door kept opening and the there was no note to advise on how to operate ceiling fan in lower bedroom that has a switch not on the wall by where the remote is located but next to the window on opposite side of the room. A vacuum cleaner would have been nice to keep the sandy floors under control even though shoes are not worn inside. Patio was too small for the size of the only dining table. One the pro side location was good for walking to many shops food options and beaches.

Be VERY CAREFUL when you book at the Mana Kai...

Be VERY CAREFUL when you book at the Mana Kai... The units are split into two: the "a" side overlooks the beach, has a lanai, seating area etc. This is the picture they will show you when you book. The "b" side is a very small hotel room with NO seating whatsoever, NO lanai, and overlooks the parking lot. You will have to keep the blinds closed the entire duration of your stay as anyone walking by can look right in. Booking .com confirmed the "a" side, and Vacasa booked me into the "b" side. I only discovered this a week before my stay and contacted them immediately. I refused to stay in this tiny claustrophobic room and had to make alternate arrangements at the last minute. They have, so far, refused to refund my money.

I have been staying here since it opened.

I have been staying here since it opened. Rented 3 rooms for our family. I think the BS resort fees charged today are simply rip off fees. As much as I love this property, and I can afford it, they have priced themselfs to high and I will not be returing again. I had requested rooms close, 2 were, and the 3rd was way off. Spending what I did they could and should have accommodated me. Much advanced notice. Remodel is nice and beds are much more comfortable now. Should have replaced the noisy corridor tile without the grout lines. Very loud when people move their suitcases.

    We loved the area!

We loved the area! Amazing beaches, restaurants, shopping, and family activities/outings - so much to chose from. The owners provided everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It was a bonus to have 2 full bathrooms. I especially enjoyed the early morning ocean view from the lanai to sit & enjoy my coffee in paradise!

Wailea was a great beach. It is large with soft golden sand.

Wailea was a great beach. It is large with soft golden sand. It’s exactly like I picture a beach should be. It never got too crowded and there was a small store that sold drinks, shaved ice and snacks. We drove here two of the four beach days we had. Our next trip we intend on staying close to Wailea.

The location is close the Shops of Wailea and Island Gourmet where you can buy anything you need. Also close to Akamai coffee and a massage place. You can take a nice tree lined walk towards Andaz hotel or take the Wailea beach path walk. It's safe to walk. The pool/bar/lounge area is small, but well laid out. I liked that it wasn't crowded. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our TV wasn't able to play Netflix at the time, but is supposed to be an option. The lay out of the room (king bed with couch) was nice.

I was surprised by the amount of complimentary sweet and savory local delights that were provided in this hotel. Among all (5 stars)Of the hotels and resorts I visited, this was the most generous of them all. I liked the quiet atmosphere due to the hotel's policy that it is only for adults. The hotel is located at a high altitude, I could see the beach and the other islands very clearly, which made me to take marvelous pictures.

The location of the complex is perfect. Close to everything in Kihei and to Wailea beaches. The complex is maintained very good and pool is close by. The unit is in excellent condition with what looks like recent remodel of kitchen and bath rooms. AC units work good when needed, but a nice breeze also works good at times.

We have stayed at this condo on previous trips to Maui, so we knew it was a good pick. Great location and you can see the ocean from the lanai. Condo is well appointed with everything you will need and the outdoor closet has plenty of beach gear. This unit will remain on our list of return to places to stay.

This Reagan-era apartment is spacious, if in need of a dire upgrade that I fear will never materialize. It contains capacious and modern washing machine and dryer. The property is also conveniently located in the southern part of Kihei, close to the resort-rich town of Wailea.
