Friendly staff and they also allowed us a very early check-in. Good location within walking distance of all pubs and the train station. Also, Highly recommended for Hikers in Kinnekulle. It was a perfect ending after our hike. The pictures on booking.com are very genuine and the room was the same as in the pictures. I loved how they made the scrambled eggs for breakfast. It was delicious.

Mariestad calls it self sjötown but for example in the town it self is not a single swimming place. You will have to go outside of town and really know where to go if you want to get to swim on a beach or with small kid.
Guest harbour was nice and had small cosy foodcourt.

Very few restaurants in the main centre, unless you want pizza. We went off season, but I imagine in the high season it would be very busy. We would recommnet Läckö Slott about 35kms away - stunning castle right on Lake Vannern.
Mariestad also has a beautiful cathedral and harbour.
Perfect location right on the scenic waterfront. Staff were absolutely brilliant - went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Our favourite part of the stay was the complimentary coffee and snacks which the staff were kind enough to allow us the privilege of even after we checked out because we had a late train back to Stockholm. Special thanks to Emma for her courteousness, helpfulness and patience. Excellent hotel and will definitely stay here if I ever have the fortune to return to Mariestad again. Tack så mycket!
The house is from the year 1892 and you can feel as if you have been moved into those years. Everything is very well decorated with attention to details like from the Vogue magazine ;-) Anyone who cares about art and design will appreciate that.
The house has 3 rooms - two of them (on the first floor) are with shared bathroom, dinning room with kitchen and a living room.
Outside there is a private garden for guests where you can spend a day or two in total silence and close to nature.
Brilliant location very close to the lake but only a short walk to town. Hotel was clean and comfortable and the surroundings were very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was amazing and staff were always friendly and helpful. Plentiful, easy to access parking across the street meant there was no worries about being able to go out and explore the beautiful area.
Very nice hotel and staff. Really cosy room with all essentials including a fan to bear the heat. Breakfast was very good too, with a lot of homemade items and blueberries harvested in the forest. Dinner was included in the price and it was simple but delicious. We would definitely stay here again!
Nice old hotel in the center of Mariestadt. Location is just perfect, at the edge of old town on the lakefront. Central building is very nice and cosy, although other buildings looks a bit dated. And there was free coffee and pastry at evening :)
Close to main parking lot and city center, relatively cheap for an apartment. Much space for luggage. Bed is good. Nice staff in the hotel. They took notes about broken extractor hood, door and lamps when we told them about it.
Was nice with a room with opening windows, and a veranda.
Facilities in room were adequate, seemed quiet enough considering the hotel was busy
It's basically a motel beside a freeway, you never expect a four star experience
Nice hotel, thumbs up for decoration! Parking facilities were poor. Good breakfast. One cheerful staff member, the other one was grumpy. Cleaning was ok, not great. Our flip flops got stuck in the restaurant
Quiet location in the countryside. Close to Mariestad where we were visiting family. We walked up to the church for sunset as recommended - it was beautiful.
