Wow what an absolutely stunning property. Totally unexpected how beautiful the building is and the rooms. We loved the classic and stylish room and the staff were wonderful

It was a short overnight stay - place to sleep at night. It was a former church space which has been divided into a number of apartments. Our apartment is 3 floors. The kitchen is right up at the top. Nice clean apartment, just a lot of stairs.
Didn't arrive till 8.30 at night and was tired. The staff in bar was very nice and as was landlord the following morning but unfortunately the stay at the kings head was a total nightmare. Room smelled foul and the twin bed mattresses was not fit to sleep on just fit for nearest skip as covered in bad urine stains. There was no spoons with cups and saucers for your hot drinks ,the shower was dangerous as scolding hot but unable to reduce temperature so had to rinse body of soap in sink. Television no signal was horrendous and because the room was so dirty my husband and myself never bothered with breakfast because it put us both off. The kings head is a waste of good money if you decide to stay there as it will only be a let down as reviews saying it's good is very untrue and very far off the mark. Anyone thinking of booking there even for one night do yourselves a favour and keep your money as you'd be better off in a one man tent

Warrington isn't a romantic town but our stay was just about getting away on my birthday from the Hustle and bustle of general life. Warrington centre from this hotel is within easy walk with plenty of history, drinking and eateries. Basic getaway for down time with my wife. Lovely weekend.

Great atmosphere, the hotel was lovely and quiet despite there being lots of other guests and a 24hr bar. There’s a free pool table in the bar and lots of comfy sofas. The room was super clean and there the shower was lovely and hot. Great hotel, we were there for a wedding and would stay there again.

A good location if you don't want the busy-ness of Manchester or Liverpool but with those cities within easy train distance. A short train ride to Chester also. Halliwell Jones Stadium is the main draw. The Barley Mow in the Market Square is a great little pub with excellent pub grub.

All good except the TV wasn't functioning properly, so therefore didn't have that use during my stay. The receptionist blamed the weather as his also was providing fuzzy lined screen. In the adjacent cafe's all screens were working. I suggest the engineerneeds to fine tune the settings. I
think I was in room 8, down the corridor on left side.Other that not having TV to unwind after travelling , everything else was very good. Local eating facilities excellent, within the precinct.

We were only there for one night and breakfast the next morning but seems like a nice town, it has a good carvery there called Toby's with great meal deals, we had an excellent buffet breakfast! 😊
Can’t fault the hotel at all. Lovely clean, comfortable room with very high spec bathroom. Tea/coffee facilities in the room and am adjustable heater.
Breakfast was of a high standard and cooked to order. The staff afforded us a complimentary late checkout as we had an early start for the Running Festival and didn’t get back until after midday.
Directly opposite Central Station so ideal location for travellers.
We’d definitely recommend and will most likely stay again.
I stayed here before covid kicked off, and have just managed to stay again. Lovely old fashioned hotel, very clean if slightly dated, but that is part of the charm. I hate the same type of corporate hotels, you stay in one you have stayed in them all.
Even though bar meals are off at present Mr Sharma arranged for Jezz to knock me up a meal, thank you again Jezz.
I will definitely be back.
Cheap & cheerful accommodation which I always choose if I can - ideal location for work. Everything so near & handy. Comfortable and usually quiet. Wifi is good. Breakfast & evening meal always great. Safe secure parking. Staff are always very friendly. Definitely my no. 1 choice of places to stay when I'm in Warrington.
Really looking forward to staying here again when we come up to Warrington in the Spring to scatter my Dad's ashes. I remember coming here many years ago for meals and liked it then. It feels like a proper 'family' run hotel. Love the decor and the staff could not have been nicer. Beautiful grounds too.
Staff were amazing checking us in really late after the Village Hall had double booked our room and could facilitate the booking we had paid for. They were super helpful and couldn’t have done more for us. Hotel itself was really clean. Looked newly refurbished with great communal bar/lounge area.
Room was more than ample, clean and tidy. Bed was a little hard but good enough.unfortunately on this occasion, the Hotel boiler had broken down so there was no hot water. We were compensated by a reduction in our room cost. However there were public showers in the complex, so no too big an issue.
Ours was a Lodge Cabin - not the Hotel - a bonus in its setting - & ideal when it is not school holidays - but could bring the grandkids on an adventure break- well signposted from the warren of Warrington from the motorway. Near Ikea. & close enough for the Liverpool Isle of Man ferry.
Everything! It was a perfect base to take the children to nearby Gulliver's World. The little play park next to the property was excellent for the children. Easy public transport links into the centre of Warrington. Places to eat, pubs, shops, all nearby. Neat and tidy property.
Architecture of the property is interesting as this is a church converted in to apartments. Location of the property is very close to the Warrington town centre which is very convenient. Host is very quick in responding to your queries and requirements.
One of the very best hotel/ restaurants that I’ve had the pleasure of visiting.
All staff from hotel to restaurant were unbelievably helpful and caring of all guest, and varied and delicious menu with all drink types
This is a cheap hotel so I wasn't expecting 5 stars but it was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a convenient location, cheap parking adjacent. Even included a decent cooked breakfast.
The hotel is central for Warrington, and easy access for the motorway network.
The Breakfast is good value and plentiful.
The staff in the restaurant were very helpful and friendly.
Everything was great, I usually travel for work in Warrington and the Royal Hotel is my go to. I have tried others but cannot beat you guys. Will return on a regular basis for sure.
Absolutely stunning chic hotel. Amazing staff, very polite, accommodating and helpful. The owner was a lovely man. This is one of the loveliest hotels. I will be back.
