From Palace of Culture to Copou Park everything seems to be in a walking distance with a city center full of coffee places and restaurants, museums and theaters and other points of interests. Iasi is a busy, vibrant city with lots of restaurant options and a very large shopping mall with top end shops right in the centre of the city. Tourist attractions are nearby, but I chose to make the three hour drive to the spectacular mountains and amazing scenery. Iasi and Romania were full of surprises and nothing like my preconceptions. The city centre is amazing, hence I recommend visiting Iasi for a few days, but not any longer or further from the city centre. I graduated from Iasi 10 years ago and expected some visible developments for the rest of the city, but with the deepest regret I suggest travellers to stick to the city centre. It's a generally safe city full of history but can, unfortunately, look forgotten.

But the hotel owners found me in the city and we went to the hotel together. I found my room clean. It was possible to prepare food yourself in the room. I found an internet connection fast and stable. The are snack and drink automate near entrance and beautiful cafe close to hotel. We spend an hour in this cafe with owner and his wife. The coffee was very tasty and conversation pleasant. Thank you a lot.
