Situated in a former convent in Mane, built in 1613, Le Couvent des Minimes Hôtel & Spa L'Occitane RELAIS & CHATEAUX has a period facade and a terraced garden with botanical plants. The hotel is a wonderful conversion of the ancient convent. It is clear that mountains of money, but also tons of taste, were expended in achieving it. The result is sublime: like living in a beautiful château, except comfortable. As for the spa, it is superb, the best we’ve seen (and we’ve seen a few). It would impress a Roman emperor (if there were more slaves). We didn’t benefit from the huge outdoor pool or the terraces, since we were there in winter, but they would be a delight in warm weather. Someone has done a terrific job in assembling and training a rather young staff of charming and intelligent people. From the parking attendants to the receptionists, and from the waiters and waitresses to the exceptional sommelière (Ms. Pauline), there wasn't a one that we wouldn’t happily adopt and take home with us. The buffet breakfast: simply the best (really). The hotel has its own full-time boulanger, as well as a pastry chef. Okay, full disclosure: the coffee could be better. There is (of course) a gourmet restaurant (we can all imagine what that’s like), as well as a “bistro" on the premises. (Fortunately, since the local village doesn’t offer much at all.) The bistro serves mainly fanciful haute cuisine; we would have preferred that it be more authentically bistro-like, with some classic bistro-type food (steaks, daubes, foie gras, magret, confit de canard…yes, maybe even french fries!). It goes to show: even paradise can stand to be tweaked a bit.

Located at the entrance of the village of Bonnieux, Hotel Le Clos du Buis welcomes you in a stone house converted into a 3-star hotel boasting an outdoor swimming pool. Perfectly located in charming Bonnieux. Hotel itself, beautiful with full access to fully stocked kitchen, which was a huge plus. Beautiful pool and gardens. Room spacious and well decorated. Air Conditioning and wifi A+. Hosts welcoming and friendly. Breakfast excellent with local products. Would definitely stay again.

Pool was very clean and inviting after hot days touring the Luberon. The owners were lovely and very helpful. They explained the history of the guesthouse of 9 rooms, that it was built in the 70s as the original hotel for Roussillon and the owners have spent last 9 yrs updating it. Every room feels private by way of its situation at an angle from the others, quite unique. It feels very calm and peaceful in the country but still a short drive to Rousillon and Gordes. The breakfast was cooked to order and substantial.

The terrace was a real bonus, as was the free car park at the end of the street. Catherine was so easy to communicate with (we used Watsap) and her English was fabulous. She was very informative and on hand if the need arose. This apartment was a wonderful gem in the heart of the Luberon with such easy access to all the pretty villages. We would highly recommend this apartment.

This is a lovely part of the Luberon. Not too busy in May and with some exceptional villages in the immediate area. We took the bus to Avignon for one day and that was great fun, making us feel a part of the community. You can hire bikes from the local town easily and cycle to your heart's content too.

Chez Marius Gordes was a wonderful apartment right in the heart of the beautiful village of Gordes. The apartment had everything you could need for a multi-day stay and was sparkling clean! The very best part, though, was the terrace. It had amazing views from everything direction,including a panorama of the Luberon and a beautiful chateau tower seemingly right next door. We had every one of our meals out there, as well as just hanging out time. We highly recommend this property!!

We also walked to the town for dinner twice and it was not too long distance for our 7 and 10-year-old children. The terrace and swimming pool were nice, though a bit cold in mid-October as expected. Overall, we truly enjoyed our time in Bonnieux.

An absolute joy to stay at this cosy site, run by its lovely and helpful owners. The room had everything you need for a week in the south of France; a fridge to keep drinks cold, a washing machine, a good size shower, adequate kitchen equipment, nicely furnished inside and outside, comfortable bed. A very large and green garden along with a good size pool makes this site one of my favorite picks in the Luberon area!

Nice garden. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Good location to visit Bonnieux itself as well as a good starting point for bike rides or exploring the Luberon (Gourdes, Roussillion, Saignon, etc). They had a filtered water machine which was nice as tapwater sometimes has a funny taste.
