Situated in Ölfus, 48 km from The Pearl, Hotel Kvika features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. Welcoming and accommodating staff, spacious rooms and amenities. Included breakfast. We enjoyed the lounge areas where they had games, books available. The coffee machine and cookies was a nice added touch and greatly appreciated

Set in Hvolsvöllur, 7.7 km from Seljalandsfoss, Hotel Selja offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a restaurant. Beautifully renovated guesthouse less than 10 minutes from Seljalandsfoss. Of course, you should expect thin walls but since all guests were there to rest we didn't have any problems. The staff is kind and accommodating, and even went out of the way to rescue us when we got stranded in the snowstorm (yes, we became THAT kind of tourist). A warm shower, comfortable bed, and super quiet location ideal for seeing the northern lights (which we saw).

Our complex of 8 charming buildings sits right on the banks of the East Rangá River, just a stone's throw from the Icelandic Route 1 (Ring Road)... Everything but mostly the staff. They are so lovely, welcoming, extremely helpful and responsive. We particularly like to thank Saggi for being super nice and helpful.

Located in Hvolsvöllur, 16 km from Seljalandsfoss, Skálakot Manor Hotel provides accommodation with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. I loved absolutely everything about this manor. It was refined-country, cozy, crisp, and sophisticated-for-Iceland without being pretentious or minimalistic. Painted wooden panels, lush couches and beds that you sink into, spacious bathrooms. Beyond the decor being truly attractive, the staff was always smiling and helpful. After a freezing trip under the Seljalandsfoss waterfall's spray, I felt my extremities again in their clean sauna and further rejuvenated in the pool looking directly out into the landscape. Food was delicious with intriguing combinations of tastes. Parking was free and plentiful, access from the main road was simple, yet removed from the fray. I highly recommend this hotel/manor.
