The room I stayed was spacious, tidy and neat. The host was friendly and amazingly helpful. The story was that I accidentally left my personal belongings at the previous hotel on the other side of Lake Kawaguchi. He offered to drive there and fetch my lost items.

Right on the shore of the scenic Kawaguchiko Lake, Hotel New Century features spacious Japanese-style rooms overlooking the lake and Mount Fuji. Very nice cozy hotel with a stunning view in the japanese style room. Everyone was really friendly in the hotel and they had no problems with speaking english. There are also 2 onsen, one for women, one for men. Everything was very clean. We loved staying in the hotel. Thank you very much for this experience.

As before, on our first visit here, the staff was SO kind to us and our dog. The breakfast is amazing and there are so many things to do in this part of Yamanashi. Having an onsen in the hotel is so nice after a day of hiking. Uchu brewing down the hill is a perk as well...

The local breakfast was good, including the Yamanashi local specialty houtou. The room was clean and comfortable. Good soundproofing. The free amenities, such as skin care set, were also good quality. The free shuttle to and from the train stations runs all-day and is very convenient. We went to Fuji-Q Highland and didn't have to spend money on parking there. The hotel lobby has nice luggage lockers.

Also, Yamanashi in general is not pedestrian friendly; barely any pedestrian sidewalks and tons of cars that you share the road with on walks.

Very good value for money. Great location, not far from station and Maizuru Castle. Clean, nice room with big windows, cosy shared kitchen. Air conditioner worked perfectly. We didn't meet staff in person, but during our stay they arranged a nice opportunity for hotel guests to buy delicious Yamanashi peaches for a good price.

The best thing about this hotel is that it is just opposite the Kawaguchiko station which makes things easier if you are travelling around Yamanashi a lot. Nearby, there is the famous Lawson. On top of that, the view of Mount Fuji from my room was breathtaking, I wouldn’t trade it for anything else.

Right beside the legendary phashi bridge, and conveniently located near a lot of late night restaurants (which is very difficult to find in Kawaguchiko). The highlight was waking up to a surreal view of Mt Fuji with reflections upon Lake Kawaguchi from our room window! Even during the night, you can catch a glimpse of the snow covered peak of Mt Fuji. Room was spacious, traditional tatami style with comfortable futon beddings. Japanese dinner was served in room - delicious! Breakfast was semi buffet style served at the hotel restaurant, a fusion of japanese and english breakfast. Onsen for hotel guests had both indoor and outdoor pools. Another enjoyable experience just a minute away from the hotel you can take a scenic scroll along the lake with unobstructed views of Mt Fuji, cafes where you can chill and just soak in the view.
