The nearest airport is Akureyri Airport, 84 km from the holiday home. Absolutely romantic little cabin in the middle of nowhere (on a farm), surrounded by cute animals (horses, duck, sheep and a dog). This cottage has the perfect size for two, including the bed (they are usually very small in Iceland but not here). It has a fully functional kitchen including fridge and microwave, very nice porcelain and overall the owner choose not only very tasteful furniture and fittings but also good quality. Unfortunately we had a cloudy night as this place is ideal for Aurora Borealis watching otherwise. Super nice and responsive owner too.

Highly recommend, best place we have ever stayed in all of our world travels. Watching the Northen Lights from the hot tub at the back of the house was a once in a lifetime opportunity!

I love everything inside this cabin. room is so beautiful decorated, have washing machine and very good living size. the view is fantastic and very close to city. honestly I really don’t want to leave. is one of the best cabin in the whole Iceland trip!

We absolutely loved this place! The cottages are situated at a big plot on a hill. Amazing views! The cottage was spacious and well equipped. The accomodation is run by a very friendly family. They helped us through the hard weather conditions and gave us the best advice. Absolutely recommend this place and we hope to come here again during summertime.

Located on a farm in Árhólar 11 km from the main road, Laxárdalur Cabin offers cottages with a kitchen, dining area and private bathroom Einarsstaðir is a 45-minute drive away, while Akureyri is 80 km away. Guests benefit from free WiFi. we loved it. the cabin has everything you need and it is very comfortable and clean. it is fair away from any restaurant or shop but the view on the way there makes this worth it
