This modern-designed hotel is directly across from Uppsala Central Station. Uppsala Concert and Congress Hall is 150 metres away. WiFi and access to a state-of-the-art gym are free. Hotel was great and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again

Dating back to 1930, this intimate hotel is within 5 minutes’ walk of Uppsala Cathedral and Uppsala Castle. Akademihotellet’s fresh rooms have a flat-screen satellite TV, private bathroom and desk. This is a lovely hotel in a charming and well kept building. The staff at reception were particularly friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and attractive and very comfortable and the location in town was just great -- in the charming old section very near to the cathedral and other attractions. All at an excellent price!

Este hotel ofrece habitaciones insonorizadas con TV vía satélite y WiFi gratis en el centro de Uppsala. The hotel staff were great and very helpful and positive. The room and bathroom were good size, comfortable and clean. The beds (two side-by-side twin beds) were very comfortable. The room didn’t have air conditioning but windows were openable and temperature mostly comfortable, with a fan in the closet we used a couple times (iron and ironing board there too). Plenty of room to unpack. There is a “conference room” on the lowest floor which is very comfortable for late night or early morning reading / internet browsing. Our price included both breakfast and evening meal, both very good, especially the breakfasts. The dining spaces were quite crowded but there was adequate, hard-working staff to quickly clear and clean tables, as well as to refill everything. Overflow could also go to the conference room or to some tables outside near the main entrance. The hotel parking spaces were full when we arrived but there is an underground garage (separate business) only 100 meters away which was actually cheaper (165 crowns per 24 hours). The location was very good - about 1 km from the river / beginning of the old town, with the newer main shopping streets and railway station even closer. Uppsala is a wonderful town for a weekend visit. I also recommend a drive down to Sigtuna and some of the nearby castles / palaces.

The hotel is very well decorated, every single detail reflected the harbour sea. Our room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was satisfying, the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great
